Kraft Foods includes an impossible to break, impossible to open, incredibly indestructible seal beneath the lids of its salad dressing bottles. No civilized consumer using anything short of an ice pick or a hammer can get past these seals to access the contents of their salad dressing bottles.

Our family has wasted money on purchasing Kraft Salad dressings because we ended up throwing them out after being unable to get them open.

Kraft should completely redesign these absurd seals, replacing them with seals that reasonable people, especially older people, can open, without having to resort to the use of explosives.

Here we are in 2022 and apparently little has changed. I ended up just poking *** through the tamper proof seal as I could not remove the lid.

old post, but still valid. i have purchased 43 different bottles of Kraft thousand island and cannot open the lid on any of them to remove the seal.

I am not a feeble person with no strength either.

I even tried using pliers and still could not open! Absolutely ridiculous!

Guest

I just had to take, first a knife to cut the seal, then a pair of pliers to be able to twist the top off. This is ridiculous. I will be buying other brands.

It's not meant to come off. Flip open the top, poke through the white safety seal - it doesn't fall into the dressing.

I use a chopstick. It caused me a lot of swearing before i thought to just poke thru.

Totally Annoying! BUT, evidently we're ALL doing it wrong.

That lid is not meant to be removed. We're supposed to poke *** thru the top! Like, with a chopstick or whatever utensil will fit. The pierced part doesn't fall into the dressing.

It's a stretchy kinda thing that rolls back. SERIOUSLY!!

My wife loves the poppyseed dressing, so I keep a pair of vise grips in the kitchen drawer adjusted to the size of the cap. She holds the bottle and I twist off the cap with the vise grips.

I am going to do a DIY video and posting it on YouTube so everyone could see how easy it is to open these dressing bottles with only 2 people and the right tool. Watch for it.

what is with your salad dressing lids, I tried everything even my very strong husband, can't get it open. Last time we buy any of your products.

It's not meant to be removed. We're supposed to flip open the cap and poke *** thru the membrane / white thingy.

It kinda rolls back on itself and doesn't fall into the dressing. Seriously!!

I am handy and have strong hands. I struggled so much trying to open the seal with a sharp utensil that I looked for this site to complain or just find shoulder to cry on!

Guest

I had to put my bottle in a vise. After that getting the lid off was real easy using a simple sawsall power tool.

Kraft has lost my business.

They make bitter BBQ sauce as well. Sorry to be a hater but its true.

Just poke thru the white membrane / safety cap. Flip open the top, poke thru.

It doesn't fall into the dressing at all. You'll see.

Guest

Ditto to that. First I couldn't open it.

Then my husband finally opened it with plyers. What a bad change to packaging.

Guest

I can't get it open either!! I gave up. The recipe I'm using may taste a little strange given the missing ingredient but, oh well.

Guest

I can't get the cap off at all! I have to cut off the bottle neck to get the dressing out and store it in another container! The seal isn't a problem after that!

Guest

A first year engineering student could have designed a better seal. One that doesn't come off in pieces.

Guest

Use an opener to open the bottle seal...like the one in nailcutter.

Guest

pliers work fine or any other utinsel you have tht functions in the samw way-like tongs or scissors at the handles. I doubt you couldn't get them open!!!

Guest

Good grief. You're kidding, right?

Psst... try the tip of a steak knife.
